Magazine Conventions

Mast head - Title of a magazine
Coverlines - Gives ideas about what other things are in the magazine other than the key subject
Banners - Text with block colour behind to make the text stand out
Sellline - advertises and promotes what is inside the magazine to make you want to buy the product
Housestyle - the colours that are featured on a magazine, the font style is also part of the house style.
Anchorage - when text is sat with a picute, much like a caption
